January 1st – November 3rd-2008 Photo Contest- Pick up forms at the Chamber of Commerce for the 2008 contest. Any picture of taken in the City of Kewaunee is qualified to win. Photo display will follow to announce the winner. Call 388-4822 with questions.

March 1st - Cabin Fever Dinner, Dance, and Silent Auction-Nothing going on? Need to cure your winter blues? Come join us for an evening packed full of fun. Kewaunee Area Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the 2nd Annual Cabin Fever-Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction. Cost is 40.00 a person or 280.00 for a table of 8. March 8th- Kewaunee Ducks Unlimited Chapter – 2nd Annual Duck Hunters Extravaganza- Held at CJ’s Restaurant and Banquet Hall. April 13th- City of Kewaunee Potluck- New or Old, all Kewaunee Residents are invited to join us above the Fire Department at the Kewaunee Senior Center. Everyone is welcome to attend. May 17th – Old Iron & Old Irons Show/Exhibit-Starting at 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. You will find speakers, animals and kids activities. May 10th-Annual Ahnapee Trail Day-Sponsored by the Friends of the Ahnapee State Trail This all-day event is loaded with activities for the whole family. Whether you ride a bicycle, enjoy horseback riding, or just like to hike, the trail has something for you. Many activities are planned that include games and refreshments. Homes and businesses alike in the 54216 zip code are encouraged to put up flower boxes and wreaths and plant flowers all over Kewaunee. There will be awards for the Best Home/Best Business and Most Unique Home/Business. Awards will be announced the first week of July. June 21st- Kewaunee City Wide Rummage Sale- Sponsored by The Kewaunee Area Chamber of Commerce. Shop till you drop! Stop at the Chamber for a map. Sale Starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 5p.m. One person’s trash is another’s treasure. June 21st-The 4th Annual Great Lakeshore Tractor Rally - Located at Heritage Farm (5 miles south of Kewaunee). 388-0604. June 27th- Flower Project Judging and Garden Walk- Stop and tour some of the beautiful gardens in Kewaunee. You may pick up maps at The Chamber Building. July 5th- The Fishmongers 2nd Annual “Shrimp Dump” prepared by “the shrimp guy”. Huge peel n’ eat gulf shrimp dumped on a papered table served with all the fixins. July 11th-12th-13th- The 36th Annual Trout Festival - Kewaunee’s own 3 day festival! You will find something for every age group. Celebrated in downtown Kewaunee, in Harbor Park. Live music all weekend, great eats, fireworks on Friday, motorcycle ride, volleyball tourney, car show, children’s activities, Duathlon, Offshore Challenge, and Huge parade on Sunday. July 26-Aug. 3, 2008-26th annual Kewaunee/Door County Salmon Tournament: More than $40,000 in cash and prizes in the Midwest's most popular Chinook salmon fishing contest. You can wet a line anywhere in Lake Michigan or Green Bay off the shores of Kewaunee and Door counties. The tournament annually pays down more than 200 places, and daily prizes are also awarded to the angler who catches the heaviest fish each day at all five participating ports — Algoma, Kewaunee, Sturgeon Bay, Baileys Harbor and Washington Island. October 1st-31st- Harvest Decorating Contest. Check out all the scary and beautifully homes decorated for Halloween and fall. Everyone is encouraged to sign up. You may do so by filling out a form at the Chamber Office. Judging will take place on Oct. 31st.
October 4th- 3rd Annual Harvest Fest- A fun filled family day. Enjoy musical entertainment all day. Great Eats and Treats. Lots of things for the little ones. Little ghost and goblins, football players and princesses will take to the street to collect candy from any house they wish to visit with there outside porch light on between the hours of 3pm and 6pm. Also Judging for the Fall/Halloween Decorating Contest will take place.

Then sit back and watch the lighting of the love light tree. Stop by Christkindlmarkt to visit with Santa immediately following the parade to hear the little ones wish list for Christmas. A holiday parade will kick off the festival! Sponsored by the Kewaunee Area Chamber of Commerce. Be part of the parade or sit back on Ellis Street and watch the numerous floats, fire trucks and bands perform. Then stop by Harbor Park to watch the lighting of the love light tree. Your next stop should be at Hamachek Hall to see Santa. A large tree will be decorated with area children's ornaments, walk through the forest of trees decorated by area businesses, there will be many different vendors, this is a must see for the entire family!
