May 10^th-Annual Ahnapee Trail Day-Sponsored by the Friends of the Ahnapee State Trail This all-day event is loaded with activities for the whole family. July 26-Aug. 3, 2008-26th annual Kewaunee/Door County Salmon Tournament: More than $40,000 in cash and prizes in the Midwest's most popular Chinook salmon fishing contest. You can wet a line anywhere in Lake Michigan or Green Bay off the shores of Kewaunee and Door counties. The tournament annually pays down more than 200 places, and daily prizes are also awarded to the angler who catches the heaviest fish each day at all five participating ports — Algoma, Kewaunee, Sturgeon Bay, Baileys Harbor and Washington Island.
